Welcome to Polegate Grasshoppers FC – a community football club rooted in passion, teamwork, and development.
Founded with the aim of providing a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for children of all abilities to enjoy the beautiful game, we are proud to be one of the most recognisable grassroots clubs in the area.
Who We Are
Polegate Grasshoppers FC is run entirely by dedicated volunteers – from coaches and committee members to parents and supporters – all working together to give every child the opportunity to play, grow, and thrive through football. We offer football from ages 4 up to 18, with a growing number of boys’, girls’, and mixed teams representing the club each weekend.
Our ethos is simple:

Positive coaching that develops confidence as well as skill
Community spirit that brings people together on and off the pitch
What We Stand For
We believe football should be about more than just results. At Polegate Grasshoppers, we teach respect, discipline, teamwork and resilience – qualities that serve our players both on the pitch and in life.
We follow FA Respect guidelines and strive to create a supportive environment where children can enjoy themselves, feel valued, and build friendships that last.
Our Teams
We currently have a wide range of age-group teams competing in local leagues and tournaments. From our buzzing mini kickers sessions on Saturday mornings to competitive league games at youth level, we have a place for everyone – whether they’re just starting out or hoping to push their skills further.
